A community-built reference for players of The Other Side.
What this is
The Other Guide is a free reference site for the co-op horror game The Other Side by Vectora Games. It brings together ghost types, evidence breakdowns, maps, equipment and survival notes in a format meant to be read quickly during a contract.
Who built it
I'm Kyle Minto, a full-stack web developer based in the UK. I came to The Other Side fairly recently, and found the existing references scattered across several tools rather than collected in one place. The aim here is a single, well-organised reference, with enough context for players still learning the fundamentals.
I built something along these lines for Phasmophobia a while back - phasmolab.co.uk, a challenge generator. The Other Guide applies the same idea to a different game.
Why it exists
Several capable community tools already exist. The P.M.S. Tracker holds the most detailed ghost behaviour data, and Zombie's TOS Zero is well suited to narrowing down evidence quickly. This site is meant to sit alongside them rather than replace them: it explains how the mechanics work, adds context for newer players, and consolidates the most-used information.
How it's built
Static site, built with Astro, Tailwind CSS, and a small amount of React for interactive features like the Ghost Identifier filter. No tracking, no ads. Page views are counted via GoatCounter, which is privacy-friendly and doesn't use cookies.
